Ruzizi III Hydropower Project

Project Description

PIA provided technical assistance and optimality analysis for the development a hydro dam located on the Ruzizi river, a resource shared between the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi. The economic analysis conducted compared costs and benefits, for a range of project options, to decide upon optimal installed capacity and soundness of project.
